He is the son of an immigrant, raised first in a big city and later in a small town. A high school dropout who worked a variety of jobs, the author eventually earned a STEM PhD and served as a military veteran, rising from the enlisted ranks to officer status. He is the father of four successful children and grandfather to their equally accomplished children.

The author worked two jobs for much of his life to support his family and went on to become a high-tech entrepreneur, developing new technologies and founding a company with licensed patents. His career includes authoring numerous publications, teaching as a part-time college instructor, and serving in some of the nation's leading laboratories and aerospace companies. The author had the rare opportunity to investigate some of the world’s enduring mysteries, including the Shroud of Turin and UFO phenomena.

With a life rich in experience, he writes with the conviction that he has earned the right to speak about life in this nation — and to comment on what he sees as the impending death spiral of its civilization.
